I'm a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer (NASM) with a specialization in prenatal women. I train women one-on-one with my clients' goals in mind. Pregnant women and postnatal women require specific modifications and parameters that I have experience in providing. I'm familiar with the changes in a woman's body as she experiences pregnancy, childbirth and mothering a newborn and safety is my number one concern.
I am also a Trained Birth Doula (DONA) and a graduate of the Women's Studies Program at the University of MassachusettsBoston. For me, the health and fitness of women is a passion. I'm an advocate for a number of women's issues including perinatal and maternal health and wellness.
I combine cardiovascular, weight and circuit training to give you a balanced, safe and effective work out. I will assess your fitness level and create an individualized plan for you. Since my specialization is pre/postnatal women, I am keenly aware of the precautions, modifications and unique safety issues that accompany pregnancyi.e., increased body temperature, altered center of gravity, and abdominal muscle separation. Each session lasts one hour and you may schedule as many as three sessions a week. Every woman is different and almost every woman can reap the benefits of a fitness program during and after pregnancyno matter her fitness level!
